Being born and raised right here in Pawleys Island I have a very deep love for this LowCountry of ours and
this is what I strive to show in my paintings. I have no desire to go abroad or any other destination to paint.
We have so much beauty right here at home there is abundant subject matter. I could happily spend the
rest of my life painting landscapes of this place.
I paint on canvas in oils and sometimes acrylics. My training has been under Elizabeth Bronson of
McClellanville for whom I have the utmost respect; as an artist and locally Danny McLaughlin and Jean
Hanna. I also took a workshop with "Ilona" once!
My work has been displayed in Georgetown Art Gallery and Gray Man Gallery at Pawleys Island as well as
the French Santee Trading Company. My paintings have been in shows in McClellanville and
Georgetown. Some of my paintings may be found in professional offices in Georgetown and Murrells Inlet
and in private homes around our state, North Carolina, Florida and Louisiana.
