Mary Pensabene~Albert, owner of Dragonflys Art Studio located in Quinton, a quaint rural haven halfway
between Richmond and Williamsburg in historic New Kent County, Virginia. Mary has loved art from a
young age and was blessed with an artistic grandmother, from whom she inherited her gift..
She works in several mediums; acrylic, pen & ink linework, watercolor and pencil. Some of her specialties
are house renderings, custom painted children's furniture, animal portraits and hand-painted Christmas
ornaments on sand dollars and crab shells.
These unique handcrafted Christmas ornaments are inspired by the lighthouses and nautical ambiance of
the East Coast. They are hand painted on regional shells, signed and numbered. The sand dollars are
dipped in a hardener, painted with acrylic, coated with a protective gloss finish and completed with a ribbon
& seashell hanger.
